General Rules

↠ We are an LGTBQ friendly community ↞ Discrimination will absolutely not be tolerated here. We also do not tolerate harassment, bullying, or general unpleasantness. Basically, just bring good vibes!

↠ We are pg-14 ↞ There should be absolutely no NSFW content (sexual, drug, gore, or otherwise related) in character or in the OOC chats. Be mindful that this is a younger community. Warriors inherently has gore and our genre dips into survival horror at times, but there's a difference between the frightening and the inappropriate.

↠ We are a creative community and as such support artists ↞ Art theft is strictly forbidden, and art used should be sourced if not your own. Breaking this rule will almost always result in a ban.

↠ Please keep discussions in the correct chats ↞

Actor Rules

↠ (RP name) is a literate roleplay that expects proper grammar and 3rd person writing like when reading a book ↞ We focus on 'fast flow', which emphasizes shorter posts that are exchanged quickly, allowing a scene to be completed in one day or one evening. Posts are not expected to be multi-paragraph unless truly necessary and instead should be a minimum of three sentences with something meaningful for your partner to reply to.

↠ It is considered 'good etiquette' to read the room when posting ↞ If your posts are significantly longer than everyone else's and are slowing the pace of the RP, consider shortening them to match the current flow, or vice-versa.

↠ Actors are expected to be active in order to keep their roles in (RP name) ↞ We have monthly role-calls for all actors, and those with Leading Roles are expected to partake in scenes regularly. If you're going to be gone for a long span of time, we ask you post in (absence chat) so we can make sure you don't miss any role-calls while you're away!

↠ Do not 'godmod' or control other people's characters ↞ Do not describe what their characters are doing for them.

↠ Do not 'autohit' in combat ↞ We use a combat honor system in which the attacked character decides if they were hit or not. We expect actors to portray their character's skills accurately, respect the skills of their opponents, and to remember a character can't win every fight.

↠ Our Actors are encouraged to write plots and partake in scenes that can add some spice to the script ↞ That said, they should be mindful while doing so, and consider asking permission from their clan's Leading Roles before following through. For example, a kit shouldn't randomly post in the territory about how they've snuck out of camp without first asking permission, OR successfully acting out that escape with a clanmate in a previous scene.

↠ Actors are encouraged to add to the script's lore and history in vague, mysterious ways ↞ They're encouraged to make up legends and stories, and in general leave their mark on the script. We only ask you do so with respect, care, and love

↠ All characters must meet the guidelines in the playbook ↞ This means, in simple terms, that they must have realistic pelt colors, traditional names, and may not come from outside clans, tribes, or have their own prophecies, or magical powers.

↠ Actors are allowed two main roles and one extra ↞ Main roles include warriors, apprentices, kits, and queens. An extra may be a wanderer, elder, or permanent queen. Actors who are extremely active on both main roles may request a 3rd. Any Actor with a Leading Role- Leader, deputy, medicine cat, or medicine cat apprentice- may NOT request a 3rd and must not have a 3rd at the time of accepting a Leading Role.

↠ Characters are important ↞ But we understand that sometimes they are hard to play, don’t turn out right, or just become unfun. An Actor is allowed 2 unquestioned ‘swaps’ in which a current character is switched for a new OC. After that, swaps must be requested and reviewed to discourage frequent character shuffling.

↠ Give Death a try ↞ Instead of swapping OCs, we encourage you to plot deaths with your clan’s Leading Roles instead. A character must have partaken in 4 scenes before being killed off, just to ensure new characters aren’t being made just to instantly die for the Drama :™:

Keeping The Mystery

Here at (RP name) we have a strong focus on keeping a mysterious, wondrous, fairy-tail like atmosphere. As a result there are some guidelines for how you can help!

↠ Do not Metagame ↞ There are some bits of information you have that your character doesn't! Or, if you have two characters, one might learn a secret that the other doesn't know. Be sure to remember what is in character and out of character!

↠ Do not discuss the unspoken ↞ In Fria there are some things not discussed. Instead, they should be implied or hinted at. Some examples are the monsters in the Labyrinth, or the War of moons past. The war was very bad. It's not spoken of. Yet, characters may carry scars and trauma left by it. Roleplayers can theorize and chat about it, but no cat in character should say exactly what happened in the past, or what roams in the Labyrinth.

↠ Share information in character ↞ We use a system of hidden chats and events to keep an air of mystery. Cats in camp may not be able to see cats on patrol, or cats visiting the labyrinth. We strongly encourage people to share what others missed in character, rather than in OOC chats. Cats returning from a patrol that was attacked should first share that juicy gossip in character before it's discussed ooc.

↠ Mind Secrets ↞ The above makes it possible for rumors to spread and secrets to be kept. If a character lies about something that happened on that patrol, Actors should remember how fun uncertainty can be and keep the mystery going by not revealing the truth out of character.
